SUICIDE OF A CONSTABLE.
Hugh Bracken, an ex-constable, shot himself at Wallan, near Kilmore, this morning, dying shortly afterwards. He had been suffering from acute rheumatism for some time. Bracken was stationed at Glenrowan at the time of the Kelly gang. He was once captured by Ned Kelly by a ruse, and only escaped from a building, which was subsequently burned, with great difficulty.
