The Late Encounter at Glenrowan.

MELBOURNE, Monday. – George Metcalfe, who was severely wounded in the recent encounter with the Kelly gang at Glenrowan, is progressing rapidly towards recovery, and is now thought out of danger.

NED KELLY. Ned Kelly is progressing rapidly towards recovery, and still maintains the quiet demeanour that was noticeable since his admittance to the gaol hospital. Although the outlaw appears strong and healthy, it is thought that another remand for a week will be necessary before his case can be properly gone into. LATER. – Ned Kelly has been again remanded for another week.
