Convictions: 1877 – 3 months for wilful damage to property

Description:

* “Daniel Kelly wore black paget coat, dark grey tweed trousers and vest, light felt hat, elastic side boots, linen collar, with long black and brown tie.” (December 1878)

* “Dan Kelly could not be identified from the likeness published; he is a moderate-sized man about five foot seven inches high, sallow complexion, black hair, and a fine pair of dark eyes, and rather a pleasing look when smiling. About twenty years of age.” (February 1879)

* “Daniel Kelly, about 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, black hair, none on face, sallow complexion, long features, small dark eyes, high cheek-bones ; dressed in blue paget coat, police uniform boots and pants, and light felt hat.” (March 1879)
